Paul Shain Art Sept/Oct Newsletter

Paul Shain Art Newsletter Sept/Oct 2024

Today is November 1. Clearly, I’m a bit late with the September newsletter. I have been busy, though. I’ve had a lot of work at Watercolor Art Society - Houston. I’ve had work in the monthly shows, the bimonthly sales gallery, and the annual art fair. I’ve created some new abstracts including some that are revisions of older work.

Right now I’m in Sevilla, Spain. I’m halfway through a two-week stint at a language school trying to improve my Spanish. I think that’s the only direction it can go at this point. When it isn’t raining I’ve done some sketching / painting. You can see what I’ve produced on Instagram (@paul_shain_art) and on Artwork Archive (artwork archive.com/profile/paul-shain). I’ll do some more traveling before returning home.

I’ll leave you with the piece I like the best so far. I saw this flamenco singer on a path by the river during a school-sponsored walking tour on Monday. It’s been raining since. Today, I was finally able to return to sketch him.
